On April 29, 1913 National Zipper Day commemorates the day that the patent for the modern zipper was issued. The day celebrates something we often do not think about and may automatically take for granted. The first attempt at creating the zipper came from the inventor of the sewing machine.

My personal philosophy is that photography should be fun. Part of having fun is trying new things. Digital IR photography is lots of fun because it helps you look at your world in a new way and lets you create images that look unlike any other technique that you’re likely to try.

I believe that the best photographs are going to be made from the best possible exposed images. Under most common lighting situations, including sunny days, modern camera technology seems to have relieved us of using any guesswork for determining a specific exposure setting.

I have made a list of my favorite films and they are far, far different than anybody else’s lists because while i enjoy the art of filmmaking and classic s=films like Citizen Kane, that would not be my first choice if I wanted to site down and watch any one of the 500-plus film in my collection of DVD, Blu-ray and 4K discs.
