I recently took a look at my on-line modeling portfolio and was surprised to find that several of my images had exceeded one thousand views. That may not seem like a big number to a famous photographer but ,to me, seems like a lot of views.

I think manual mode is useful for those shooters who would rather drive a car with a stick shift than one with an automatic transmission. But while purists claim manual exposure mode is the only one to use, outdoors I tend to use all of the letters on the dial.

Nothing is harder for a portrait subject than standing in one place and trying different poses. Look to see if your model has something to lean or sit on. If you’re outdoors, have her lean against a rock…

And so my friends, we have come to an end of #corsetmonday, at least I think so. I have gone through all of my folders that were labeled “corset” and selected some images that I like and won’t get flagged by the ever-present nanny software. More on that later…

#filmfriday is off this week as I struggle to deal with the crazy weather we have been dealing with lately in Colorado. I am hoping for one of two things to happen but both would be cool too: The weather gets better so I can shoot some film or the weather stays the same and I finally get a chance to do a model shoot in my home studio using film. In Film Friday’s place today is my take on shooting glamour—in infrared.
