Regular readers of this blog know that I like cars (and even have a car photography website.) And in the automobile enthusiast’s world it’s long been a common expression that “you are what you drive.” What about photographers? Are we what we shoot?

When I find myself wondering, “what do I shoot next?” or start to think “there’s nothing to photograph,” I like to shoot some images in direct monochrome mode.

I always enjoy hearing from readers, especially those with questions about photography, this blog, my car blog or anything else that may be on their minds. I try to answer them right away but some questions have a more general theme so I thought I would compile a few of those questions along with my answers for today’s post.

…sometime between now and the end of the year I  plan to dismantle my in-home studio, turning it into just an empty room in my basement. Before that happens, however, I would like to have a few final shoots with some of my former models and maybe some women I haven’t photographed yet but who would like to try this kind of modelling and have some fun along with getting some great-looking images of themselves at the same time.

All of the 35mm film SLRS that I’ve purchased during the past two years have been purchased through eBay and all but one was trouble free.

Getting personal: This past weekend Mary and I awoke to snowfall. This was followed almost immediately by her exclamation, “I’m getting a job in Arizona and moving to Phoenix.”
