Thanks you, Dawn. I feel I have a lot still to earn about portrait and glamour photography but I would have made it this far without your help and encouragement.

#filmfriday is off this week as I struggle to deal with the crazy weather we have been dealing with lately in Colorado. I am hoping for one of two things to happen but both would be cool too: The weather gets better so I can shoot some film or the weather stays the same and I finally get a chance to do a model shoot in my home studio using film. In Film Friday’s place today is my take on shooting glamour—in infrared.

And so it was with great anticipation I started reading Triumph Cars: 100 Years and while just barely into it’s pages I’m enjoying it so far. Look for a detailed review of the book in an upcoming Joe’s Book Club real soon now.

National Love A Tree Day is celebrated every year on May 16 and it falls right in the middle of Garden for Wildlife Month.

It happens. Even though I have, by some counts, more than 3000 books*, every now and then I run out of things to read.

In a recent post I wrote about how each photographer sees the world in an entirely different way. Well, the same can be said of the different kinds of portrait subjects that you might encounter especially when working in the genre of glamour or boudoir photography.
