Update on the Password Protected Posts

by | Oct 20, 2024

Today’s post is just a reminder about the availability of access to this blog’s Password Protected Posts, In case you missed my original post, Some Special Posts for Patreon Subscribers, it has information about the new benefits for my Patreon subscribers, here’s an update.

Today’s Special Post by Joe Farace

Censorship reflects a society’s lack of confidence in itself.—Potter Stewart, former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States

Few photographic print magazines survived the pandemic in the USA and the economic events leading up to it. Those still being published are limited to a few fine art quarterlies along with magazines produced by photographic organizations whose membership dues subsidize the books.

Many months ago I began a series of uncensored ports about working with glamour models who I’ve photographed over the past several years. These special posts were typically uploaded on Thursdays and displayed on the main page as “Password Protected” or maybe just “Protected” because WordPress keeps changing the way it handles these kinds of posts. Occasionally there were Bonus posts on Tuesdays that had to do with themes, special requests or national days, such as National Kissing Day.

What is a Password Protected Post?

What it all means is that these Password Protected posts take you “behind the pages” into some of the experiences I had when writing about and creating glamour images for books, model shoots and print magazines before photographic print magazine essentially died in America. Some of what you’ll discover in these special posts will provide insight into why, while the UK (population 66.97 million) and Japan (population 125.1 million) support a vibrant and wide variety of print photo magazines, while the US (population 333 million) does not.

The biggest change you’ll notice in the content of these posts is, for the first time in this blog’s history, you will see completely uncensored photographs of the models I’ve photographed. These posts also include some of my thoughts and opinions about why images of these women were censored (and by whom) along with what working with these talented models was like. I think you’ll find a surprise or two.

I’ll also be featuring images from private shoots with glamour models that happened after that time period. The image above is from a video I posted on my YouTube channel that was taken down by them withing minutes of me posting it even though it was marked as 18+. I’m working on how to include uncensored videos from these model shoots in future posts.

How It All Works

In order for you to be able to access the content of Password Protected posts, you must be a member of the second ($2.50/month) or third tier ($5/month) of my Patreon. In addition to the normal membership benefits, you will receive a unique password giving you access to these protected posts allowing you to view the uncensored images and content. As I write this, I’m considering giving Patreon member at the first tier ($1.25/month) access to these posts starting next year. Let me know if opening up these special posts to those members is of interest,

If you are not currently a subscriber, you can sign up now to get access to all of the past and future protected posts. This is the only way I am able publish uncensored images without being punished by the nanny software used by many companies and individuals as well as Google rankings.

If this program is successful, I plan to include galleries where subscribers will be able to view many different images from these model shoots instead of just the one or two featured in a post. Adding any of these features, like videos, depends on the response to these posts. I’ll keep writing for these posts as long as there is one member but will need to add many more than are presently subscribed to afford adding new features. Keep in mind that Patreon subscriptions may be canceled at any time so if you don’t like these posts, you can quit and your unique password will be disabled.

I want to thank you for all of your support over the years.
