Joe’s Movie Club: My All-Time Favorite Movies List

by | Sep 3, 2022

UPDATED: For a look at the list of the lists of the top 100 films, please watch Moviewise’s video: The Top 10 Best Top 100 Best Movies of All Time of All Time. It will open your eyes and make you smile. If you love movies, subscribe to this channel and my humble YouTube channel. I also a new movie The April Fools that’s sadly only available as a DVD. I didn’t bump anything from the list; There was a duplicate there that I removed and replaced it with The April Fools.

Today’s Post by Joe Farace

Everybody and their cousin’s friend has published or YouTube-ed a “best of” movie/DVD/Blu-ray/4K list. What follows is not my list of the best 100 movies that were ever made or ones that are available on physical media. Instead it’s a list of my favorite one hundred movies and they are not in order of my favorite-ness of even best on the list. It’s just an order that poured out of my brain while I was clicking away on a keyboard. These are a bunch of movies, some—but not all—of which I own in DVD, Bu-ray and a few in 4K, like Citizen Kane. And I’ve included a few links for those who might want to pick up one or two of these movies from Amazon, Kino Lorber, Criterion Collection or one of the others, including import, boutique producers of physical media.

It’s my intention to create future editions of Joe’s Film Club as videos for my YouTube channel, Joe Farace’s Videos. My first Joe’s Movie Club video—about region-based Blu-rays and region free discs and players was uploaded and you can see it here. In later videos I feature reviews of some of the movies on this list in an upcoming videos, plus I’ll be looking at with interesting new Blu-ray and 4K movies coming from Paramount Presents, Warner Archives and the Criterion Collection. Look for videos on one or all of these new special releases, like the King Kong (1933) Blu-ray.

I you like, you can send me movies—DVD, Blu-ray or 4K Blu-ray— to review that can be used in these videos by emailing me via the CONTACT link. Just ask for my mailing address and I will promptly reply.
