Many photographers dream of seeing their images showcased in a coffee table book. But unless your Internet famous with hundred of thousands, even millions, of followers it’s going to be a tough sell to publishers. Why not self-publish?

I’ve said it here before that you can shoot infrared any time of the year and I’ve made IR images made during the winter when deciduous trees have shed all of their leaves but I always feel that the results are not that much different from a well crafted black & white photograph. Or maybe not?

National Book Month is observed during October. As warm temperatures start to fade away for the cooler —or colder, snowier—winter weather, it’s the perfect time to kick back, have a cup of tea or glass of wine and curl up with a good book.
