I may have changed, or maybe am in the process of changing my opinions: What follows is some highly personal thoughts on the topic of switching camera systems.

It’s #wheelswednesday and I’m reminiscing about the only time, I was able to photograph at that most hallowed of racing venues: The Indianapolis Motor Speedway—aka the Brickyard

Being able to view a monochrome scene through a mirrorless camera’s EVF helps the visualization process because, as Flip Wilson once said, “what you see is what you’ll get.”

During the past year I’ve added new portraits of myself to the Bio pages of this Blog and my automobile photography website. The first of these portraits (below) were made by my friend Barry Staver and were not made during an in-studio session.

While my recent mobility challenges have made it difficult to create some new movie reviews for my YouTube channel, I have been watching a few more movies than normal. As I await finishing my three-movie reviews for the Maltese Falcon—the 1931 versions is available now. I promise to finish the (sort of) trilogy real soon now.

Even though I’ve been experimenting with IR capture since the 1970’s with Kodak’s color and black & white infrared film, after I converted several of my Panasonic Lumix mirrorless cameras to infrared capture I had the same kind of euphoria that everyone having their first IR experience feels.
